Another lore/speculation piece from the weird sage! More about the perceptions of the other races from the view of the charr peoples.
[[Disclaimer: Because someone that is normally right was worried about misunderstandings with this i’ll note here that this is a try to show the races from the perspective of a John/Joana Everycharr if you ask him of another race. Personally I see no other way to get an comprehensible and accurate picture of the relationships between the races. I will use the Point of view of a character i mention at the Beginning. For the Charr i chose my own Charr Ferros Griefbringer. You can see it as a sort of RP thing with the attempt of being representative.]]
Centaur: The Centaurs… a critical Issue. They share some similarities to us. Their past was common to our own. They faced the Human Expansion attempts and were aggressively expeled from their Homelands. On the other Hand the Centaurs are even more torn apart by inner conflicts than the most races. Their class system of Pride and Tribe dis unified them and scattered the centaurs in lose allied Groups and the human took advantage of this chink. The inner Conflicts prevent attempts of a centaur collaboration for several hunderd of years. Today the centaurs are unified in their hatred for humans - or at least in the Modniir hatred for humans. THiy Pride has taken over the breeds of Harathi and Tamini centaurs to attack the human invaders. But this take over was all but not consensual. There is a power structure in centaur society that promotes Modniir Superiors in every Centaur Tribe. This alone leaves a bad taste in every Charrs mouth.
Dredge: The Fate of the Dredge is tragically. The first contact with other Races causes their Enslavement by the Stone Summit Dwarfs. After Years of drudgery they borke their chains but only as aftermath of an other event, the destruction of the Iron Forgeman. But the Freedom of the Dredgee didn’t last long most of them where captured again and urged to work again under the Stone Summit. Again they achieve freedom and again only as an backwash of the Defeat of their dwarven masters. Oh Dredge had their leaders since the first enslavement and they were clever emough to involve Human hereos to their actions. They also are charaimatic enough to swear a hard core of Dredger to their ideals of socialsm and common ownership and a social order without arbitrariness. Ironically they preached that this changes could only became real with a suprior classificationsystem that all dredge have to subordinate to. As a result Dredges are now highly structured Creatures. Like us they stick on Order but in an almost obsssesive way. every Derdge has its fixed position within the social class system. Workers, Warriors and Superiors, every Dredge fit almost perfect into his role for the greater good. Their physical adaption to their Social role is so arlaming some could think that they were bred for them. Anyway, the are Dredges in the same situation as before. Enslaved and under controll. But this time not from outer ascendancies but from their very within. For years they isolated themself from the surface but now they march against the other races in an aggressive expansion. Digging their tunnels through the ground with their own kind of technology - half their own half resembling those of their old masters - and claiming that they are the true heirs of the dwarfs. How sad is this? Embracing the race heirtage that brought suffering and ernslavement over them. Maybe the Dredge have a affinty for being controlled like the GOld Legions has. Fate taught the Dredge some cruel lessons and the conclusions they draw are even more cruel for them and every freedom-loving race in tyria. But speaking of their technology… The Dredges are one of the few races that share the invention of mechanics and scientific contruction with us. I wonder what we could we learn from each other if they would take the time to talk.
